Sikandar Raza Forgets Mic After Winning Toss, Shubman Gill Comes To The Rescue

During the last T20I between Zimbabwe National Cricket Team and India National Cricket Team, Sikandar Raza, the skipper of the Zimbabwean team, made a funny mistake at the toss. The match was played at the Harare Sports Club in Harare on Sunday (14th July).

Even before the match began, Sikandar Raza stole the show with his antics at the toss. As he flipped the coin, he made an amusing jump in an attempt to influence the outcome in his favor. The tactic proved successful as he won the toss, following a streak of losing 4 tosses in the previous 4 matches.

However, Sikandar Raza, who won the toss, also had an awkward moment. As the coin landed in his favor, he approached to announce his decision but forgot to pick up the mic in his excitement and began speaking. Fortunately, Shubman Gill came to the rescue and handed the mic to Raza.

Speaking at the toss, Sikandar Raza chose to field first, stating that the wicket would improve as the match progressed. He also highlighted the team's high level of confidence and their desire to end the series on a positive note. He elaborated:

"We are gonna have a bowl first. The wicket did get better. They will get better when we bat second. Not difficult at all, the motivation is there, the confidence is there and the skillset is there. We want to do well and finish the series on a high. Brandon Mavuta comes in. Chatara has been rested, he's played four games in a a row and we have a Test match coming up."

On the other hand, Shubman Gill also expressed his preference for fielding first but noted the players' eagerness to play. He mentioned the changes in the lineup, saying:

"We were looking to bat first anyway. Our spinners have bowled well and the fast bowlers have been economical. The players have been hungry. It's not easy to play back-to-back matches. A couple of changes. Mukesh Kumar and Parag come in."

Regarding the series, India National Cricket Team had already secured the victory after their three outstanding performances. Zimbabwe National Cricket Team began the series strongly, winning the first match by 13 runs, but the visitors later staged a dominant comeback. They won three consecutive matches and were eager to add another victory to their tally. Meanwhile, the Sikander-led Zimbabwean team aimed to finish the series on a high and secure their second win.
