Shytoshi Kusama Excited About SHIB Metaverse Launch, Says 'Next Year Will Be Epic'

The mysterious Shiba Inu lead widely known to the community under the pseudonym Shytoshi Kusama has published a bullish message, sharing his expectations

Shiba Inu (SHIB) lead developer Shytoshi Kusama has hinted at big plans for 2025 in a recent tweet.

Kusama, who is known for his cryptic messages, expressed excitement about the SHIB army's accomplishments in 2023 and his participation in major crypto and blockchain events. He also teased upcoming reveals, writing, “Next year will be epic, and I am so excited to share what we've built.”

Shiba Inu Metaverse Launch Excitement

The SHIB lead also commented on the recent public launch of the Shiba Inu Metaverse. He said he was eager to see how the community would respond to the launch of the virtual world, which the SHIB team has been developing for several years.

In 2022, the team gradually unveiled several public virtual land parcels in the Metaverse, called hubs, designed specifically for community gatherings and relaxation (the WAGMI Temple hub), enthusiasm and inspiration (the Rocket Pond hub), and more.

Now, anyone can enter the Metaverse, connect their wallet, and purchase a virtual land parcel for ownership, paying in ETH or SHIB and then constructing a custom-designed house on it, furnishing it to their taste, and receiving an avatar for navigating the virtual space.

In his tweet, Shytoshi Kusama highlighted not only his excitement about the community's reception of the new product but also mentioned that this was just the beginning, writing, “Really excited to see the warm reception of the MV. But this is truly just the beginning!”

Upon the launch of early access to the metaverse last week, a tweet from Kusama revealed that the successful launch was credited not just to him but to the collective efforts of “many, many incredible people.”

According to Kaal Dhairya, a top developer for the SHIB team, the metaverse boasts “absolutely jaw-dropping visuals” powered by Unreal Engine 5. Additionally, the metaverse land map is now available on Shibarium.

“Landowners can look forward to dynamic pricing, merging plots into estates, endless personalization, and plenty of earning possibilities,” he added. Within the metaverse, LEASH will be the coin actively utilized, unlocking a wide range of user possibilities, such as diverse rewards.
