Prosecutors have requested an arrest warrant for Jeon Sung-bae, a shaman better known as "The Construction Master," on suspicion of receiving money disguised as a "nomination donation."

The Seoul Southern District Prosecutors' Office announced on the 18th that it had requested an arrest warrant for Jeon, who was arrested the previous day for violating the Political Fund Act.

The prosecution's investigation began after detecting suspicious funding conditions related to Jeon while looking into the flow of funds for "Queen B-coin," a scam coin (fraudulent virtual currency) that was promoted to be invested by actor Bae Yong-joon. The prosecution is also investigating whether Jeon attempted to launder illegal funds with the coins.

During the 2022 presidential election, Jeon was suspected of intervening in interests by showing off his friendship with the president and his wife as an active member of the Yoon Suk Yeol candidate's campaign. He is also known to have served as an advisor to Kobana Content operated by First Lady Kim Gun-hee.
