As gold inches closer to the $5000 mark, investors are turning their attention to Bitcoin. Historically, when both assets rally, Bitcoin tends to outperform — and with gold making fresh highs, analysts believe Bitcoin could be next.

As gold edges closer to the crucial $5,000 level, investors are shifting their focus to Bitcoin. Historically, when both assets experience rallies, Bitcoin tends to outperform significantly. With gold already making new highs for the year, analysts are expecting Bitcoin to be next in line.
In a recent post on X, Robert Kiyosaki, author of the best-selling book Rich Dad Poor Dad, highlighted the key difference between Bitcoin and metals.
“I own & operate gold & silver mines & can always mine more if prices rise. Bitcoin is locked forever at 21 million. 21 million is 21 million. I can’t make more & neither can any bank or mining firm. That’s why BTC is the best hedge now against inflation, monetary debasement, global uncertainty,” Kiyosaki stated.
Gold, on the other hand, surged to $3,500 in April before pulling back to $3,237 on Friday, still representing a 33% gain YTD. In contrast, Bitcoin has remained relatively flat, increasing only 0.82% so far this year. However, this calm period could be setting the stage for a massive breakout.
Crypto analyst Cryptollica highlighted that from March 2020 to March 2022, gold experienced a 35.5% rise, while Bitcoin experienced an astounding 1,100% surge. If a similar trend unfolds, BTC could rally to $155,000, especially as it breaks through its current resistance range.
Furthermore, the upcoming U.S. Federal Reserve interest rate decision could be the decisive factor. Despite former President Donald Trump urging for a rate cut, the CME FedWatch Tool indicates a 97% chance of the Fed keeping rates unchanged this week. However, if there are any shifts in policy for the second half of 2025, it could unlock a wave of liquidity, ultimately boosting both gold and Bitcoin.
This analysis aligns with Kiyosaki’s perspective on Bitcoin as a superior hedge in the current economic climate. As investors await the crucial interest rate decision and the potential for Bitcoin to outshine gold in the coming months, the cryptocurrency's performance will be closely monitored.
