NEXPACE's MapleStory Universe has ushered in a new chapter

NEXPACE's MapleStory Universe (MSU) has reached a significant milestone with the launch of its blockchain-powered MMORPG, MapleStory N, and NXPC token. The token, which plays a crucial role in the ecosystem, is listed on major exchanges, including Bitget, Bithumb, Binance, Bybit, Gatei.io, KuCoin, and Upbit.

MapleStory Universe is a new chapter in the future of the 23-year-old MMORPG IP, expanding with blockchain technology. The game, which is an integration of MapleStory IP and blockchain features such as NFTs, on-chain item mechanics, and open marketplaces, is powered by its proprietary NXPC token.

In the game, players can complete tasks such as battling monsters and, at the same time, earn, craft, and trade assets that hold real-world value. In addition, it brings Synergy Apps, allowing fans, creators, and builders to develop their own content and decentralized applications.

The NXPC token enables true asset ownership and player-driven item markets, marking a major evolution of MapleStory's decades-old in-game economy. Through a model known as the Fusion-Fission model, players can redeem NXPC for collections of NFTs (Fission) and exchange collections of NFTs back into NXPC (Fusion), creating a self-balancing system that ensures the token's supply is limited to support long-term value.

More than just powering the ecosystem, the NXPC token also powers a broader contributor reward system by incentivizing builders and creators to develop user-generated contributions that expand and enrich the MSU IP ecosystem.

MapleStory N and MSU are the first implementations of NEXPACE's virtual IP universe and, as such, set the foundation for future blockchain-powered gaming experiences. The project is backed by Nexon's portfolio of globally recognized gaming IPs.

Leveraging the decentralized economy, it is intended to support the expansion of these titles and evolve the gaming worlds beyond traditional models. It is already gaining much popularity.

The OpenSea Primary Drop Campaign, which was held recently from May 6 to 12, with over 1 million mints, attests to this popularity, which also drove the Avalanche Network to record its highest number of Unique Active Wallets since the campaign’s launch day.
