Mike McGlone: Gold May Draw Investors From Bitcoin (BTC) and Stocks, Especially if Bitcoin Has Peaked This Year

Mike McGlone: Gold May Draw Investors From Bitcoin (BTC) and Stocks, Especially if Bitcoin Has Peaked This Year

Bloomberg Intelligence’s chief commodity strategist Mike McGlone has shared his thoughts on the possible shift in the gold-Bitcoin rivalry by 2025.

According to McGlone, the probability is that gold will attract investors from the stock market and gain the upper hand, particularly if Bitcoin peaks in 2023. He also predicts that gold will continue to attract investors from the crypto market, including Bitcoin, in 2025.

Earlier, top cryptocurrency analyst Michael van de Poppe suggested that the FUD surrounding Tether is preventing Bitcoin from rising above $100,000.

On December 30, the European authorities introduced new crypto regulatory measures that prioritize strict compliance. Many anticipate that Tether’s stablecoin, USDT, will not adhere to these new regulatory standards. As a result, there is widespread speculation that the most popular stablecoin will be delisted from European exchanges. However, Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino has denied these rumors, stating that Europe will not deem USDT illegal in its markets.
