Metis Token is set to be featured at the ZK/AI Summit during TOKEN2049 in Dubai on April 28th.
According to the official announcement by Metis, CEO Tom Ngo will be presenting ‘Trust and AI: blockchain’s role in AI’. The session will begin at 11:30 CET in the Union Pay VIP Lounge.
During his presentation, Tom will be discussing how decentralized systems enable trust and verifiability in intelligent computation.
Following the session, attendees are invited to visit the Metis booth no. A8 in the main hall to learn more about the platform and its potential.
Earlier this month, the crypto community expressed concern as the price of Metis dropped despite a new partnership and integration with Chainlink.
The integrators of the hybrid PoW/PoS chain, which aims to solve Ethereum’s throughput problems with a modular architecture, announced the integration of Chainlink Price Feeds into the Metis ecosystem.
The Chainlink integration will provide the Metis ecosystem with decentralized access to market-rate price data, which is essential for enabling the development of a variety of advanced financial applications within the Metis environment.
Moreover, the introduction of Metis Oracles, a core component of the Metis ecosystem, will enable seamless interaction between smart contracts on the Metis network and external systems.
This integration is crucial for expanding the capabilities of Web3 and facilitating the creation of sophisticated DeFi protocols, derivatives markets, and other innovative use cases that require secure and reliable data from off-chain systems.
The minimum viable subnet for the Metis Layer 2 optimistic rollup has been live since December 2021, and the network claims to be capable of processing 1,000 transactions per second with a one-second finality.
The integrators also noted that the Metis subnet is capable of executing 1 million gas units per transaction, which is about five times more than the mainnet.
This high gas limit enables the deployment and execution of complex smart contracts on the Metis network, further expanding the possibilities for developers and users.

This high gas limit enables the deployment and execution of complex smart contracts on the Metit network, further expanding the possibilities for developers and users.
The main use cases for the METIS token are paying transaction fees on the Metis network and staking.
The token is also used for governance voting and can be used to pay for services on the Metis ecosystem, such as oracles and indexing.
As a Layer 2 optimistic rollup, Metis inherits the security of the mainnet Ethereum network. The PoS chain is also modular and economically secure due to the integrators’ hybrid PoW/PoS consensus model.
