U.S. markets saw mixed results on Monday: the Dow Jones Industrial Average slipped 0.3% to 44,782, the S&P 500 edged up 0.2% to 6,047.15, and the Nasdaq climbed nearly 1% to close at 19,403.95.

Major U.S. stock indexes had mixed results on Monday, with the Dow slipping slightly while the S&P 500 edged up and the Nasdaq advanced.

Here's a look at the top five gainers and losers, and some of the day's biggest movers.

Top Gainers

The biggest gainer was Super Micro Computer (NASDAQ:SMCI), which surged nearly 29% after an independent review found no basis for concerns raised by the company's former auditor.

Other big gainers included CleanSpark (NASDAQ:CLSK), which rose over 1% after reporting a strong fiscal fourth quarter, and Upstart (NASDAQ:UPST), which fell despite posting better-than-expected earnings.

Top Losers

Among the biggest losers was Intel (NASDAQ:INTC), which fell slightly after announcing the retirement of CEO Pat Gelsinger.

Other big losers included Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA), which rose after a Delaware judge rejected Elon Musk's $56 billion pay package from 2018, and Upstart, which fell despite posting better-than-expected earnings.

Biggest Movers

In terms of overall activity, Tesla was the most heavily traded stock on Monday, followed by Intel and CleanSpark.

Other stocks that saw significant trading volume included Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL), Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) and Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN).
