IOTA Heroes on IOTA EVM: Prepare for an Exciting New Chapter

The IOTA EVM, a groundbreaking initiative that has garnered widespread attention, marks the first time a fully EVM-compatible smart contract chain has been integrated into the IOTA network. This integration opens up a world of possibilities for fast, secure, and scalable smart contracts.

As previously reported by our team, the IOTA EVM has experienced remarkable growth since its launch, spearheading advancements in the realms of DeFi, decentralized trading, and sustainability.

A New Era of IOTA Heroes on IOTA EVM Commences with a Host of Updates

This highly anticipated migration also heralds a slew of exciting changes to the IOTA Heroes gaming experience.

For starters, the team has overhauled the battle visualizer, providing users with enhanced visibility and access to a wider range of information during combat scenes. Keep an eye out for further visualizer updates in the near future.

Other notable additions include the long-awaited introduction of the Hatchery, where users can now crack their eggs for thrilling possibilities.

Previously, IOTA Heroes limited users to reforging only five items at a time, but with this new update, you can now choose to forge any multiple of five (10, 15, 100) as long as you have enough charcoal to power the process.

The update also introduces greater flexibility and options as you play IOTA Heroes. For instance, you now have the choice to end an adventure early.

Let’s say your adventures were set to end in an hour or two, but you decide you want to end them earlier and get on with other things—well, now you can choose to do so by spending some of your gold.

Others might choose to end the adventure to preserve some of the in-game items they have acquired, especially if they value them higher than gold. Of course, you must engage in an adventure at least five minutes before you get the option to call it quits.

On the back end, the IOTA Heroes team has refined their smart contracts to enhance the overall user experience and make it smoother. They have also switched to SvelteKit, a framework for deploying web apps using Svelte, which will translate into smoother routing and faster navigation as you traverse the game's digital landscapes.
