Celebi ex Is VASTLY Overpowered & Basically Unplayable Now Thanks To Serperior's Jungle Totem Ability In Pokemon TCG Pocket
Dec 17, 2024 at 10:53 pm
Pokemon TCG Pocket has released some new cards, and people are already finding Celebi ex to be vastly overpowered.
Pokemon TCG Pocket players are discovering just how powerful Celebi ex can be, with some managing to deal over 800 damage in a single attack.
Pokemon TCG Pocket has seen some new cards added to the game, and one card in particular is quickly becoming a fan-favourite. Celebi ex’s Powerful Bloom attack can deal huge damage if you’re lucky with the coin flips.
As spotted by Dexerto, when combined with Serperior’s Jungle Totem ability, which adds an extra energy to Grass Pokemon, Celebi ex’s attack can become devastating.
To use Powerful Bloom, the player must flip a coin for each energy attached to the Pokemon. For each heads, the move deals 50 damage.
So, if Celebi ex has eight energy attached, and the player manages to get eight heads, the move will deal 400 damage.
Over on X (formerly Twitter), players are already sharing their results. “This game is almost Yu-Gi-Oh levels of stupid now that Celebi is in Pokemon TCG Pocket,” wrote Felix_Brehh.
They managed to hit 400 damage, which would have required eight coin flips landing on heads.

“Pokemon TCG Pocket is basically unplayable now thanks to Celebi ex,” wrote choerr_yeon, also showing a screenshot of a Celebi doing 400 damage.
Osallyo appears to have gotten the most damage so far, with their Celebi ex dealing a whopping 850 points of damage in a single attack. That would take 11 coin flips that landed on heads.
“850DMG!!! Hahahaha trying out the max energy you can play with Celebi,” they wrote.
“Serperior and Celebi ex will be the new meta deck in Pokemon TCG pocket. This deck is absolutely crazy,” noted poppypunky, echoing Dexerto’s analysis.
“This Celebi ex and Serperior look like a strong duo from Mythic Island,” concurred averacer_tcg.
Despite having trading card game in the name, only a select few cards can actually be traded in Pokemon TCG Pocket at the moment, but the developers do plan to allow more cards to be traded in the future.
In other news, Idris Elba wants to star in a Cyberpunk 2077 film.
