Bitcoin Surges Exponentially, Predicts On-Chain Analyst

May 04, 2024 at 05:04 am

On-chain analyst Willy Woo predicts Bitcoin's (BTC) value could skyrocket by over 1,500% to $1 million within the next 11 years. Woo attributes this potential growth primarily to the increasing adoption rate of Bitcoin, which he believes will continue to follow a predictable pattern. Historically, Bitcoin's value has closely aligned with the number of users, a trend Woo expects to persist based on his growth curve model.

Bitcoin Poised for Exponential Growth, Predicts On-Chain Analyst

[Date] - Prominent on-chain analyst Willy Woo has projected a significant surge in Bitcoin's value, anticipating an increase of over 1,500% in the next decade.

Woo's analysis is anchored in the historical correlation between Bitcoin's value and its user base. He postulates that Bitcoin's intrinsic value, known as "fair value," is directly proportional to the number of individuals utilizing the cryptocurrency. Based on his growth curve model, this user adoption is expected to continue at a steady pace.

"Bitcoin is on track to reach a 'fair value' of $1 million per unit by 2035," Woo declared on the social media platform X, where he commands a following of 1.1 million. "This projection is predicated on the assumption that user growth continues along its established trajectory."

Woo emphasizes that his estimate represents a conservative calculation, distinct from the potential price peaks witnessed during market exuberance.

In the early stages of Bitcoin's development, its value trailed its user base. However, he attributes the availability of high-resolution data from blockchain forensics to a more accurate understanding of actual user counts.

"Price discovery emerged through early exchanges such as New Liberty Standard and Mt. Gox," Woo explains. "By August 2011, the launch of Bitstamp and the presence of multiple international exchanges allowed for a more reliable valuation of the asset."

Currently, Woo contends that Bitcoin's adoption is in its early stages, drawing parallels with the growth curve of the Internet.

"Bitcoin has a global adoption rate of approximately 4.7%, which is comparable to the Internet's adoption rate in January 1999," Woo observes. "This indicates that Bitcoin is still in its nascent phase, with ample room for growth."

At the time of writing, Bitcoin is trading at $61,581, reflecting a 4% increase over the past 24 hours.
