Bitcoin has rebounded significantly, rising above $70,000 after dipping below $69,000 yesterday. The surge has fueled optimism, with anticipation growing for a possible $100,000 price point. Alternative coins have also experienced gains, with DOGE and BCH leading the charge with double-digit percentage increases overnight.

Bitcoin Surges Past $70K as Altcoins Witness Significant Gains
Following a sharp decline earlier this week that saw Bitcoin (BTC) plunge below $69,000, a bullish surge has propelled the digital asset back above the $70,000 mark.
On Monday, BTC began exhibiting a notable upward trajectory, reaching $70,000 on Tuesday and pushing towards $72,000 on Wednesday. However, it encountered resistance at that level, resulting in a correction that brought it down to $68,500.
Now, Bitcoin has regained momentum and surpassed $70,500, driven by growing anticipation within the crypto community for a potential price milestone of $100,000. Its market capitalization has increased but remains under $1.4 trillion, while its dominance over altcoins remains stable at around 50%.
Meanwhile, most alternative coins have rebounded from recent losses. Binance Coin (BNB), Ripple (XRP), Toncoin (TON), and Chainlink (LINK) have all registered gains between 1% and 3%. Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), Cardano (ADA), and Polkadot (DOT) have also seen modest increases.
Dogecoin (DOGE) and Bitcoin Cash (BCH) have emerged as notable outperforming altcoins. DOGE has surged by over 10% in the past 24 hours, reaching a price above $0.2. BCH has also rallied significantly ahead of its upcoming halving event, rising by approximately 13% to over $550.
The total market capitalization of all crypto assets has increased by an estimated $50 billion since yesterday, but it still remains under $2.8 trillion. As of this writing, the cryptocurrency landscape is characterized by a positive outlook, with Bitcoin leading the charge and many altcoins experiencing price appreciation.
