Bitcoin Set for Astronomical Rise over Next Decade, Predicts Stock-to-Flow Model
May 08, 2024 at 11:04 pm
Renowned crypto analyst PlanB predicts substantial Bitcoin price increases in the coming years, forecasting an average price of $500,000 for the 2024-2028 halving cycle and $4 million for the 2028-2032 cycle. PlanB's S2F model, which accurately predicted Bitcoin's price movement in previous cycles, suggests a possible market peak in 2025 with a price potentially exceeding $200,000. Other experts share similar predictions, supporting the notion of continued Bitcoin price appreciation in the long term.

Bitcoin Projected to Soar in Value Over the Next Decade, According to Stock-to-Flow Model
Cryptocurrency Market Analysis
Amidst the ongoing market volatility in the cryptocurrency sector, particularly surrounding Bitcoin (BTC), renowned crypto trading expert PlanB has released updated projections indicating significant value appreciation for the flagship decentralized finance (DeFi) asset over the next decade.
Historical Performance and Future Predictions
PlanB's stock-to-flow (S2F) model, which analyzes the relationship between Bitcoin's existing supply and newly mined supply, has historically provided accurate predictions for the asset's price movements. In the 2020-2024 halving cycle, the average Bitcoin price was $34,000, closely aligning with PlanB's 2019 prediction of $55,000.
Applying the S2F model to future halving cycles, PlanB estimates the following average Bitcoin prices:
- 2024-2028 Halving Cycle: $500,000
- 2028-2032 Halving Cycle: $4 million
Near-Term Outlook
PlanB predicts that Bitcoin will reach a price point of $100,000 in the latter half of 2024. This projection is based on the asset's April 2023 closing price of $60,000, a 36% year-to-date increase. Furthermore, May 2024 marks the final month before the next halving cycle, which historically triggers price surges.
Market Peak and Long-Term Prospects
Beyond 2024, PlanB anticipates a market peak in 2025, where Bitcoin's value could potentially surpass $200,000. This aligns with similar predictions made by other industry experts, such as CoinRoutes chairman Dave Weisberger and Standard Chartered, a financial institution with over $800 billion in assets.
Market Sentiment and Disclaimer
At press time, Bitcoin trades at $62,330, experiencing a slight decline in the past 24 hours. Despite this short-term fluctuation, the asset has exhibited a 7.42% gain over the past week.
