This program, led by Animoca's Richard Robinson, offers funding of up to $500,000 for each accepted guild, prioritizing those focused on sustainability and fostering player/scholar communities. Animoca Brands, Brinc Launch $500K Funding Program for Gaming Guilds

Animoca Brands and Brinc Join Forces to Empower Gaming Guilds with $500,000 Funding

In a groundbreaking move, Animoca Brands, a leading investor in non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and metaverse projects, has teamed up with global venture accelerator Brinc to launch the Guild Accelerator Program. This initiative aims to provide funding and support to gaming guilds that demonstrate a commitment to sustainability and community engagement.

Driven by the vision of Animoca's Co-Founder and Executive Chairman Richard Robinson, the Guild Accelerator Program will invest up to $500,000 per guild. This funding will empower these organizations to establish and grow their operations, fostering innovation and creating opportunities for players and scholars alike.

"Guilds can play a transformative role in various industries, including education, skill development, and R&D," said Manav Gupta, Founder and CEO of Brinc. "By removing barriers to entry and providing access to essential tools and assets, guilds can empower individuals to innovate, upskill, and earn a sustainable income."

The Guild Accelerator Program is a timely response to the burgeoning play-to-earn (P2E) industry, which has witnessed explosive growth in recent years. Axie Infinity, a prominent P2E game, has generated over $2 billion in trading volume in the third quarter of 2021 alone.

Crypto-related gaming guilds offer players the necessary funding and tools to participate in blockchain-based games, which often impose significant entry barriers due to high starting fees. In exchange for providing these resources, guilds receive a portion of the earnings generated by players.

The Guild Accelerator Program will be operated under Launchpad Luna, an accelerator launched in 2021 by Brinc and Animoca. Applications are open until the end of February, with the first cohort scheduled to commence in May.

To ensure the success of the program, a team of esteemed mentors and experts has been assembled, including Saruboti Sasuke, Head of Partnerships at Yield Guild Games; Howard Xu, Co-Founder of the Vietnam-based guild Ancient8; and Brendan Wong, Founder of Avocado Guild.

Through this collaboration, Animoca Brands and Brinc aim to cultivate a vibrant and sustainable ecosystem for gaming guilds. By providing funding, mentorship, and access to industry leaders, the Guild Accelerator Program will empower these organizations to shape the future of the gaming industry and create opportunities for players around the world.

Interested gaming guilds are encouraged to apply for the program at www.brinclaunchpad.io/luna before the February 28th deadline. The first cohort will be announced in March, with the program commencing in May.
