How to Import a Wallet into MetaMaskStep 1: Install MetaMask

Visit the MetaMask website and download the extension for your preferred browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox).
Create a new wallet or import an existing one.

Step 2: Locate Import Account

Open MetaMask and click on the profile icon in the top right corner.
Select "Import Account."

Step 3: Choose Import Method

MetaMask offers different ways to import a wallet:
- Private Key
- Keystore File
- Mnemonic Phrase

Step 4: Import Using Private Key

Enter your private key in the designated field.
Ensure you have the correct key corresponding to the wallet you want to import.

Step 5: Import Using Keystore File

Browse and select the keystore file (.json) for your wallet.
Enter the password for the keystore file.

Step 6: Import Using Mnemonic Phrase

Input your 12-word mnemonic phrase.
Choose a password for your imported wallet.

Step 7: Verify Account

Once the wallet is imported, you'll be prompted to confirm the transaction.
Click "Import" to finalize the importation.

Step 8: Access Imported Wallet

The imported wallet will appear in the list of accounts within MetaMask.
You can switch accounts by clicking on the account address at the top right corner.

Additional Notes:

Always keep your private key, keystore file, and mnemonic phrase secure.
MetaMask will generate a new account address for the imported wallet.
The imported wallet will have the same transactions and balances as the original wallet, provided you used the correct import method and credentials.
