Bybit VIP Level Structure
1. Bybit VIP level is a tiered membership system designed exclusively for high-activity traders and institutional participants.
2. The framework operates across five standard tiers—VIP 1 through VIP 5—and extends to a separate “Ultimate VIP” category reserved for ultra-high-volume users.
3. Each tier corresponds to quantifiable thresholds in asset balance, lending exposure, or 30-day trading volume across spot, derivatives, and options markets.
4. Eligibility requires completion of Level 1 KYC verification, including government-issued ID upload and facial recognition.
5. All account types—including main accounts and linked sub-accounts—are aggregated for eligibility assessment and daily snapshot calculations.
Daily Snapshot Mechanism
1. System-wide data capture occurs daily at UTC 07:00, freezing real-time balances and rolling 30-day trade metrics.
2. Asset valuation is standardized in USD and includes funds from funding accounts, spot wallets, and unified trading accounts.
3. Automatic promotion triggers within five minutes after confirmation that new tier requirements have been met.
4. A 14-day grace period preserves current VIP privileges even if subsequent activity falls below the threshold.
5. Holding Mantle (MNT) tokens applies a multiplier of up to 1.5× to total asset valuation, accelerating tier progression.
Trading Volume Requirements
1. VIP 1 mandates either $1 million in spot volume or $10 million in derivatives volume over 30 days.
2. VIP 2 requires $5 million spot volume plus $25 million derivatives volume within the same window.
3. VIP 3 demands $10 million spot volume and $50 million derivatives volume accumulated during the rolling period.
4. VIP 4 necessitates $25 million spot volume combined with $100 million derivatives volume.
5. VIP 5 activates upon reaching $50 million spot volume and $250 million derivatives volume in 30 days.
Ultimate VIP Thresholds
1. Access to Ultimate VIP status requires $100 million in spot volume, $500 million in derivatives volume, and $10 million in options volume.
2. Alternatively, $10 million in structured product purchases within 30 days qualifies applicants for this top-tier classification.
3. API-based trading must constitute less than 20% of total volume for VIP 4 and VIP 5 candidates to avoid additional verification steps.
4. Cross-platform traders may submit verifiable 30-day trade records from other exchanges to instantly elevate their Bybit VIP level by two tiers.
5. Structured product purchase volume is tracked separately and does not offset shortfalls in spot or derivatives volume requirements.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: Does Bybit count OTC trades toward VIP volume requirements?Yes, over-the-counter transactions executed via Bybit’s institutional desk are included in the 30-day derivatives volume calculation.
Q2: Can staked assets contribute to VIP asset balance calculations? No, only liquid assets held in funding, spot, or unified trading accounts are counted; staked tokens in DeFi protocols or external wallets are excluded.
Q3: Is there a minimum holding duration for assets to qualify?Assets must be maintained for at least 24 consecutive hours before inclusion in the daily UTC 07:00 snapshot.
Q4: Do futures and perpetual swaps count equally toward derivatives volume?Yes, both futures contracts and perpetual swap positions contribute fully to the derivatives volume metric without weighting or discounting.
