How to view NFTs in your Coinbase Wallet? (Asset Management)
To view NFTs in Coinbase Wallet, open the app, go to Assets, scroll to the NFTs card, and tap it—only Ethereum, Polygon, and Base NFTs appear automatically.
Mar 28, 2026 at 08:59 pm
Accessing the NFT Tab in Coinbase Wallet
1. Open the Coinbase Wallet mobile application on your iOS or Android device.
2. Ensure you are logged into the correct wallet account where the NFTs are stored or have been received.
3. Tap the Assets tab located at the bottom navigation bar.
4. Scroll down past your token balances until you see the NFTs section — it appears as a dedicated card with a gallery icon.
5. Tap on the NFTs card to enter the full-screen NFT collection view.
Understanding NFT Display Logic
1. Only NFTs deployed on supported blockchains appear automatically — Ethereum, Polygon, and Base are currently prioritized.
2. Each NFT displays its name, collection title, thumbnail image, and blockchain network indicator.
3. If an NFT is not visible, verify that its contract address is verified on Etherscan or Polygonscan and matches the network selected in your wallet settings.
4. Unsupported standards such as ERC-1155 tokens may show metadata incompletely or require manual contract addition.
5. Hidden NFTs can be revealed by tapping the three-dot menu in the top-right corner and selecting Show hidden assets.
Navigating Collection and Item Details
1. Tapping any NFT opens a detail page showing high-resolution media, description, attributes, and ownership history.
2. The detail screen includes a View on Explorer button linking directly to the token’s page on the respective blockchain explorer.
3. Scrollable tabs allow switching between Overview, Attributes, and Transactions without leaving the app.
4. For ERC-721 tokens, the Token ID and Contract Address are always visible beneath the media preview.
5. Long-pressing the NFT image triggers a system-level share action, enabling quick posting to social platforms or saving to device storage.
Managing Visibility and Organization
1. Swipe left on any NFT item to reveal a Hide option — this removes it from the main gallery but retains it in wallet storage.
2. Hidden items remain accessible via the Hidden Assets toggle in the top-right menu of the NFT tab.
3. Sorting is fixed by most recent receipt; manual reordering or folder-based categorization is not supported within the interface.
4. Collections with over 50 NFTs load incrementally — scrolling triggers background fetches for additional batches.
5. Network switching affects visibility: changing from Ethereum to Polygon will only display NFTs native to that chain unless cross-chain bridging has occurred.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why do some NFTs appear blank or show only a question mark?A: This occurs when the metadata endpoint is unreachable or the IPFS gateway used by the collection returns a timeout. Refreshing the asset list or toggling airplane mode briefly often forces a metadata reload.
Q: Can I view NFTs minted on Arbitrum or Optimism in Coinbase Wallet?A: Yes, provided the wallet’s active network is set to Arbitrum One or Optimism and the NFT contract complies with ERC-721 or ERC-1155 standards. Manual network configuration may be required under Settings > Networks.
Q: Does Coinbase Wallet support layered NFTs or dynamic SVG assets?A: Static rendering is applied — animated SVGs play only their first frame, and JSON-driven dynamic layers are not interpreted. Visual fidelity depends entirely on how the metadata defines the image field.
Q: What happens if I restore my wallet using seed phrase on a new device?A: All NFTs tied to the recovered addresses will reappear after the wallet syncs blockchain state. No separate backup of NFT data is needed beyond the standard 12-word recovery phrase.
