How to Unstake Zilliqa on Atomic Wallet
Step-by-Step Guide:
- Open your Atomic Wallet: Launch the Atomic Wallet application on your device.
- Navigate to Zilliqa Wallet: Click on the "Zilliqa" tab on the left-hand menu bar to open your Zilliqa wallet.
- Access Staking Section: Click on the "Staking" tab located at the top right corner of your Zilliqa wallet.
- Select Staked Amount: The "Unstake" button will appear next to the staked amount you wish to withdraw. Click on the "Unstake" button corresponding to the desired amount.
- Confirm Unstake: A confirmation window will pop up. Review the details and click the "Unstake" button again to confirm the unstaking process.
- Wait for Unstaking Period: The unstaking process can take up to 14 days. During this period, your staked ZIL tokens and any accumulated rewards will be locked.
- Withdrawal: Once the unstaking period expires, your ZIL tokens and rewards will be released back into your main Zilliqa wallet. You can now withdraw your funds or continue staking with your desired validator.
Additional Notes:
- The unstaking process is irreversible. Once you unstake your ZIL tokens, they cannot be re-staked until after the unstaking period expires.
- Zilliqa charges a small unstaking fee to discourage short-term staking and promote network stability. The fee amount is typically around 0.005 ZIL per transaction.
- You can view the status of your unstaking progress in the "Staking" tab of your Atomic Wallet.
- It is recommended to unstake your Zilliqa tokens before transferring them to another wallet or exchange to avoid any potential issues.
