How to use Trust Wallet's built-in "Browser" on Android? (DApp Guide)
Trust Wallet’s built-in browser lets you securely access, connect to, and interact with DApps—no external browser needed—while keeping private keys safe on-device.
Feb 16, 2026 at 11:40 pm
Accessing the Built-in Browser
1. Open the Trust Wallet application on your Android device.
2. Tap the Browser icon located at the bottom navigation bar. It resembles a compass or globe depending on your app version.
3. The browser launches with a default homepage, often showing trending decentralized applications or a search bar.
4. You can type any DApp URL directly into the address field at the top—no external browser required.
5. Ensure your wallet is unlocked before proceeding; some DApps will request connection confirmation immediately upon loading.
Connecting Your Wallet to a DApp
1. Navigate to a supported DApp such as Uniswap, PancakeSwap, or Aave using the built-in browser.
2. Look for a Connect Wallet button—usually positioned in the top-right corner of the interface.
3. Select Trust Wallet from the list of available wallets. The app may auto-detect your installed Trust Wallet instance.
4. A pop-up window appears inside Trust Wallet asking for permission to connect. Review the requested permissions carefully.
5. Tap Approve to authorize the connection. Your wallet address becomes visible to the DApp, but private keys remain secure and never leave your device.
Interacting with Smart Contracts
1. Once connected, you can perform actions like swapping tokens, staking, or borrowing without leaving the browser.
2. When initiating a transaction, Trust Wallet displays a detailed summary including network fee, token amounts, and contract interaction details.
3. You must manually confirm each transaction inside Trust Wallet. No action is executed until you tap Confirm.
4. Gas fees are shown in real-time based on current network conditions. You can adjust speed settings if needed before confirming.
5. Transaction status updates appear in the browser interface after blockchain confirmation. Pending transactions show as “Processing” until finalized.
Managing Bookmarks and History
1. Tap the three-dot menu icon in the upper-right corner of the browser screen.
2. Choose Bookmarks to save frequently used DApp URLs for one-tap access later.
3. Select History to revisit previously loaded decentralized applications.
4. Long-press any bookmark or history entry to edit, delete, or open it in a new tab.
5. Bookmarks sync only locally—no cloud backup exists unless you export wallet data manually through advanced settings.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I use MetaMask-compatible DApps with Trust Wallet’s browser?A: Yes. Trust Wallet supports Ethereum and EVM-compatible chains. Most MetaMask-integrated DApps work seamlessly when accessed via Trust Wallet’s browser.
Q: Why does a DApp fail to load or show “Wallet not detected”?A: This usually occurs if JavaScript is disabled, ad blockers interfere, or the DApp doesn’t support mobile browsers. Try refreshing or disabling extensions via Trust Wallet’s experimental features.
Q: Is it safe to enter seed phrases or private keys while using the browser?A: Never enter your seed phrase or private key anywhere in the browser. Trust Wallet never asks for these inside the browser interface. Any such prompt indicates a phishing attempt.
Q: Can I switch networks mid-session while browsing a DApp?A: Yes. Tap your wallet address in the top-left corner of the browser, then select another network like BSC, Polygon, or Arbitrum. The DApp reloads automatically if compatible.
