MetaMask Not Detecting Ledger Device: Troubleshooting Guide
1. Check Ledger Firmware
Ensure your Ledger Nano device has the latest firmware version. Outdated firmware can cause connectivity issues. To update, connect your Ledger to the Ledger Live application and follow the on-screen instructions.
2. Update MetaMask Software
Outdated MetaMask software can lead to compatibility problems. Update to the latest version by visiting the official MetaMask website.
3. Enable Contract Data
Some older Ledger devices require contract data to be enabled in the Ledger settings. Navigate to Settings > Experimental Features > EVM Contract Data and enable the option.
4. Ensure Ledger is Unlocked
Your Ledger device must be unlocked before it can connect to MetaMask. Enter your PIN and approve the connection request when prompted.
5. Check USB Cable and Ports
Loose or faulty USB cables or ports can disrupt connectivity. Try using a different USB cable and connecting your Ledger to a different USB port.
6. Reset Ledger Device
In some cases, resetting your Ledger device can resolve connectivity issues. Disconnect your Ledger from the computer, press and hold both buttons simultaneously for several seconds until the device resets. Set up your Ledger as a new device.
7. Check Ledger Manager Settings

8. Clear Browser Cache
