By following these steps, you can securely delete your MetaMask account, ensuring the protection of your digital assets.

- Open the MetaMask extension or app on your device.
- Click on the main menu (three horizontal lines) in the top-right corner.
- Select Settings.
- Go to Security & Privacy.
- Click on Download Seed Phrase.
- Confirm your password.
- Note down or save your 12-word seed phrase in a secure location.
- Go to the Extensions page in your Chrome browser.
- Locate the MetaMask extension.
- Click on the Remove button.
- Go to the App Store or Google Play Store.
- Search for MetaMask and tap on it.
- Click on the Uninstall button.
- Press Windows Key + R to open the Run command.
- Type in %appdata% and hit Enter.
- Navigate to the MetaMask folder.
- Delete the entire MetaMask folder.
- Reinstall the MetaMask extension or app.
- Create a new wallet by following the on-screen instructions.
- Use your saved seed phrase to restore your old account (optional).
If you need to transfer your funds to the new account:
- Open the old MetaMask account.
- Click on the Send button.
- Enter the address of the new MetaMask account.
- Specify the amount you want to send.
- Click on Confirm.
