How to use Argent for Starknet dApp interaction? (Low Fees)
Set up Argent X, bridge ETH to Starknet via StarkGate or low-fee Owlto, then interact with 10KSwap, Nostra, Dmail, ZKlend, and Unframed—plus register a .stark ID.
Apr 29, 2026 at 11:00 am
Wallet Setup and Network Connection
1. Download and install the Argent X browser extension from the official Chrome Web Store page.
2. Create a new wallet and securely store the 12-word recovery phrase offline.
3. Switch MetaMask or another Ethereum mainnet wallet to the Ethereum network and ensure it holds at least 0.03 ETH for bridging.
4. Connect your Ethereum mainnet wallet to StarkGate at https://starkgate.starknet.io and initiate a cross-chain transfer of ETH to Starknet L2.
5. Confirm the transaction in both wallets; final settlement may take 5–12 minutes due to L1 finality requirements.
Bridging via Optimized Gateways
1. Use Owlto Finance instead of StarkGate when minimizing gas cost is critical—Owlto charges only 0.001 ETH flat fee, while StarkGate incurs higher Layer 1 confirmation overhead.
2. Navigate to owlto.finance, connect Argent X, select Ethereum mainnet as source and Starknet as destination.
3. Enter the desired ETH amount and click “Send”; sign the transaction using Argent X.
4. Monitor the transaction hash on Starknet Explorer; funds appear under the same address used in Argent X.
5. Avoid Orbiter or LayerSwap for Starknet deposits—their variable fees (0.01%–0.03% + base) significantly increase small-balance transfers.
Core dApp Interaction Patterns
1. Launch 10KSwap at https://10kswap.com, connect Argent X, and perform at least one swap between ETH and USDC.
2. Go to Nostra Finance (https://alpha.nostra.finance) and deposit ETH as collateral, borrow stablecoin, repay, and withdraw—all within a single session.
3. Visit Dmail (mail.dmail.ai/presale/213334) and send a test email using your Starknet address as sender and recipient.
4. Interact with ZKlend by toggling the “Enable Collateral” switch on any supported asset—even without depositing, this action registers an on-chain signature event.
5. Navigate to Unframed (unframed.co) and place a non-zero offer on any Starknet ID NFT listing, regardless of price competitiveness.
Identity and Reputation Layer Engagement
1. Access Starknet ID at https://app.starknet.id and register a unique .stark domain name.
2. Link your Twitter, Discord, and GitHub accounts directly through the Starknet ID dashboard interface.
3. Complete the built-in quiz module labeled “Quest Tree” to unlock identity verification badges.
4. Mint your first Starknet ID NFT by approving the Cairo-compiled contract call—this generates a verifiable identity token.
5. Set your newly minted ID as the primary domain in profile settings to activate cross-dApp recognition.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Does Argent X support hardware wallet integration for Starknet?A: No. Argent X operates exclusively as a software wallet with no Ledger or Trezor compatibility on Starknet at present.
Q: Can I use the same Argent X wallet across multiple Starknet testnets and mainnet simultaneously?A: Yes. Argent X maintains separate account states per network—mainnet, Sepolia, and Goerli each retain independent balances and history.
Q: Is it possible to recover an Argent X wallet using only the Starknet address?A: No. Recovery requires the original 12-word seed phrase; the Starknet address alone provides no restoration capability.
Q: Why does swapping on 10KSwap sometimes fail with “Insufficient Balance” even after bridging?A: This occurs when users forget to approve token allowances before swapping. Always confirm the allowance transaction prior to initiating any swap on Starknet AMMs.
