How to Add zkSync to Trust Wallet

zkSync is a Layer 2 scaling solution for Ethereum that uses zero-knowledge proofs to process transactions off-chain. This makes transactions faster and cheaper while maintaining the same level of security as the main Ethereum blockchain.

Step 1: Enable zkSync Access in Trust Wallet

  1. Open the Trust Wallet app and tap on the "Settings" tab.
  2. Scroll down and tap on "WalletConnect."
  3. Toggle the "zkSync" option to "On."

Step 2: Connect to zkSync via WalletConnect

  1. Visit the zkSync website (https://zksync.io) and click on the "Connect to Wallet" button.
  2. Select the "Trust Wallet" option and scan the QR code using the Trust Wallet app.

Step 3: Fund Your zkSync Account

  1. Return to the zkSync website and click on the "Deposit" button.
  2. Enter the amount of ETH you want to transfer and choose your preferred payment method (e.g., credit/debit card, bank transfer).
  3. Confirm the transaction and wait for it to be processed.

Step 4: Use zkSync in Trust Wallet

Once your zkSync account is funded, you can use it to send and receive ETH and other tokens on Trust Wallet. To do this:

  1. Tap on the "Send" button in Trust Wallet.
  2. Select "zkSync" as the recipient network.
  3. Enter the recipient's address and the amount you want to send.
  4. Tap on "Send" and confirm the transaction.

Additional Notes:

  • zkSync charges a small transaction fee for each transfer.
  • You can withdraw your funds from zkSync back to the main Ethereum network at any time.
  • Trust Wallet currently supports zkSync for ETH only. Other tokens will be added in the future.
