How to Add Wanchain Mainnet (WAN) to MetaMask
Wanchain is a blockchain platform that enables the interoperability of different blockchains, allowing users to transfer and trade assets across different networks. To interact with the Wanchain blockchain, you can use the MetaMask wallet, a popular cryptocurrency wallet that supports a wide range of blockchains and decentralized applications (dApps). This article will provide a step-by-step guide on how to add the Wanchain Mainnet to MetaMask, enabling you to store, send, and receive WAN tokens and interact with dApps built on the Wanchain blockchain.
Requirements:- A MetaMask wallet
- WAN tokens (optional)
If you do not have MetaMask installed, you can download it from the official website: https://metamask.io/. MetaMask is available as a browser extension for Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Brave, and Microsoft Edge.
Step 2: Create a MetaMask AccountOnce you have installed MetaMask, you can create a new account or import an existing one. If you are creating a new account, you will need to set a strong password and securely store your seed phrase.
Step 3: Add the Wanchain MainnetTo add the Wanchain Mainnet to MetaMask, follow these steps:
- Click on the "Networks" tab in the MetaMask interface.
- Click on the "Add Network" button.
- In the "Network Name" field, enter "Wanchain Mainnet".
- In the "New RPC URL" field, enter "https://mainnet.wanchain.io".
- In the "Chain ID" field, enter "888".
- In the "Currency Symbol" field, enter "WAN".
- In the "Block Explorer URL" field, enter "https://explorer.wanchain.org".
- Click on the "Save" button.
If you want to store WAN tokens in your MetaMask wallet, you can send them from another wallet or exchange. To do this, copy your MetaMask wallet address and send the WAN tokens to that address.
Step 5: Interact with Wanchain dAppsOnce the Wanchain Mainnet has been added to MetaMask, you can interact with dApps built on the Wanchain blockchain. To do this, simply navigate to the dApp's website and connect your MetaMask wallet. You will be able to use your WAN tokens to interact with the dApp's features and services.
Congratulations! You have successfully added the Wanchain Mainnet to MetaMask. You can now store, send, and receive WAN tokens and interact with dApps built on the Wanchain blockchain.
