How to Add SushiSwap Mainnet (SUSHI) to MetaMask
MetaMask is a popular software cryptocurrency wallet used to interact with the Ethereum blockchain and decentralized applications (dApps). It allows users to store, send, and receive Ethereum and other ERC-20 tokens, as well as interact with smart contracts. SushiSwap is a decentralized exchange (DEX) that allows users to trade Ethereum and ERC-20 tokens without the need for a middleman. Adding SushiSwap to MetaMask allows users to easily access and trade SUSHI tokens within the MetaMask interface.
Step 1: Install MetaMask
If you have not already done so, you will need to install MetaMask in order to use it.
- Visit the MetaMask website and click on the "Download" button.
- Select the appropriate option for your operating system and follow the installation instructions.
- Once installed, open MetaMask and create a new wallet or import an existing one.
Step 2: Add the SushiSwap Network
To add SushiSwap to MetaMask, you will need to add the SushiSwap network to your wallet.
- Click on the "Networks" tab in the MetaMask interface.
- Click on the "Add Network" button.
Enter the following information:
- Network Name: SushiSwap Mainnet
- New RPC URL: https://rpc.sushiswap.com
- Chain ID: 1
- Currency Symbol: ETH
- Block Explorer URL: https://explorer.sushiswap.com
Step 3: Add SUSHI Token to MetaMask
Once you have added the SushiSwap network, you can add the SUSHI token to your wallet.
- Click on the "Assets" tab in the MetaMask interface.
- Click on the "Add Token" button.
- Enter the SUSHI token contract address: 0x6b3595068778dd592e39a122f4f5a5cf09c90fe2
- MetaMask will automatically fill in the rest of the information.
- Click on the "Add Token" button.
Step 4: Purchase SUSHI Tokens (Optional)
If you do not already have any SUSHI tokens, you can purchase them from a cryptocurrency exchange such as Binance or Coinbase.
- Open an account with the exchange.
- Deposit funds into your account.
- Search for the SUSHI token and click on the "Buy" button.
- Enter the amount of SUSHI you want to purchase and click on the "Buy" button again.
- Once your purchase is complete, the SUSHI tokens will be deposited into your MetaMask wallet.
Step 5: Trade SUSHI Tokens on SushiSwap
Once you have added SUSHI tokens to your MetaMask wallet, you can trade them on the SushiSwap DEX.
- Open the SushiSwap website and click on the "Connect to a wallet" button.
- Select MetaMask from the list of available wallets.
- MetaMask will ask you to confirm the connection.
- Once connected, you can trade SUSHI tokens by entering the amount you want to trade and clicking on the "Swap" button.
