How to Add Interlay Mainnet (DOT) to MetaMask
MetaMask is a popular cryptocurrency wallet and gateway to the world of decentralized applications (dApps). By adding the Interlay Mainnet (DOT) network to your MetaMask, you can easily manage, send, and receive DOT tokens. Here's a comprehensive guide to help you through the process seamlessly:
1. Install MetaMask
- Download the MetaMask browser extension or mobile app from the official website.
- Follow the installation instructions to create a new wallet or import an existing one.
2. Add a New Network
- Open MetaMask and click on the "Ethereum Mainnet" network name in the top right corner.
- Select "Add Network" from the dropdown menu.
Enter the following details for Interlay Mainnet:
- Network Name: Interlay Mainnet (DOT)
- New RPC URL: https://dot-rpc.interlay.io/
- Chain ID: 268
- Currency Symbol (Optional): DOT
- Block Explorer URL (Optional): https://blockscout.interlay.io
3. Import Interlay DOT Tokens
- Once the Interlay Mainnet network is added, click on the "Import Tokens" button in MetaMask.
- Search for "Interlay Mainnet (DOT)" or enter the contract address: 0x70f61f70f55dba405baf567e4f7b4a0d7e40fcb6
- Click "Add Custom Token" and verify the details.
4. Switch to the Interlay Mainnet Network
- After importing the token, switch to the "Interlay Mainnet (DOT)" network in MetaMask by selecting it from the top right corner.
- You should now see your imported DOT balance in the wallet.
5. Send and Receive DOT on Interlay Mainnet
- To send DOT, click on the "Send" button, enter the recipient's address, and specify the amount you wish to send.
- To receive DOT, simply provide your public address to the sender.
6. Add Interlay Mainnet (DOT) tokens on Binance Chain Wallet
- If you hold DOT tokens on Binance Chain and want to access them using MetaMask, you'll need to add the Binance Chain network to MetaMask.
Follow steps 2 and 3, but use the following details:
- Network Name: Binance Chain Mainnet
- New RPC URL: https://bsc-dataseed1.binance.org:443
