How to add the Arbitrum network to Trust Wallet? How to use Layer 2 solutions?
Trust Wallet now supports Arbitrum One—add it via Custom Network (Chain ID 42161), bridge assets, verify on Arbiscan, and use dApps with low gas fees.

Adding Arbitrum Network to Trust Wallet
1. Open Trust Wallet and tap the wallet icon in the bottom navigation bar.
- Select the Ethereum (ETH) wallet, then tap the three-dot menu in the top-right corner.
- Choose “Networks” and scroll down to find “Add Custom Network”.
- Enter the following Arbitrum One parameters: Network Name: Arbitrum One RPC URL: https://arb1.arbitrum.io/rpc Chain ID: 42161 Currency Symbol: ETH Block Explorer URL: https://arbiscan.io/
- Tap “Save” — the network will appear under your Ethereum wallet as an active option.
Verifying Arbitrum Integration
1. After saving, return to your Ethereum wallet and toggle the network selector.
- Confirm that “Arbitrum One” appears in the list and is selectable.
- Send a small test transaction from an Arbitrum-compatible exchange or bridge to verify receipt.
- Check the transaction status using https://arbiscan.io/ by pasting your wallet address.
- Observe that token balances on Arbitrum—such as ARB, USDC.e, or DAI.e—appear only when the network is selected.
Transferring Assets to Arbitrum
1. Use the official Arbitrum Bridge at https://bridge.arbitrum.io/ to move assets from Ethereum mainnet.
- Connect your Trust Wallet via WalletConnect or MetaMask injection.
- Select the token and amount, then approve the Ethereum mainnet transaction.
- Wait for the seven-day challenge period to complete for withdrawals; deposits finalize in under 10 minutes.
- Once confirmed, the tokens appear in your Trust Wallet under the Arbitrum network tab with the “.e” suffix for bridged versions.
Interacting with Arbitrum dApps
1. Enable DApp browser in Trust Wallet settings under “Preferences” > “DApp Browser”.
- Navigate to Arbitrum-native interfaces such as Uniswap Arbitrum, GMX, or Camelot.
- Ensure the wallet connection prompt selects “Arbitrum One”, not Ethereum mainnet.
- Approve token allowances directly within the dApp interface using Trust Wallet’s signature request.
- Monitor gas fees—these display in ETH but cost significantly less than Ethereum mainnet, often under $0.10 per swap.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I add Arbitrum Nova to Trust Wallet?A: Yes. Use Chain ID 42170, RPC URL https://nova.arbitrum.io/rpc, and Block Explorer https://nova.arbiscan.io/. The process mirrors Arbitrum One setup.
Q: Why do some tokens show as “Not Supported” after switching to Arbitrum?A: Trust Wallet relies on community-submitted token lists. Manually add tokens using their Arbitrum contract addresses and decimals—most stablecoins and governance tokens are verified on Arbiscan.
Q: Is it safe to use the Arbitrum Bridge with Trust Wallet?A: The official bridge is audited and non-custodial. Trust Wallet never shares private keys. Always verify URLs manually and avoid clicking shortened links.
Q: Do I need separate seed phrases for Arbitrum and Ethereum?A: No. Arbitrum is an EVM-compatible Layer 2 chain. Your single Ethereum wallet address and private key control funds across both networks.
