How to Add a New Cryptocurrency Account in Guarda Wallet for Managing Different Assets?
Guarda钱包支持多链资产添加:用户可一键启用SOL、ADA等原生代币,或手动导入ERC-20/BEP-20/SPL代币(需匹配网络),但TON/Aptos等链暂不开放自定义添加。

Accessing the Wallet Interface
1. Open the Guarda Wallet application on your mobile device or navigate to the official Guarda Web Wallet in a supported browser.
2. Log in using your existing credentials — either via password, biometric authentication, or by entering your 12-word recovery phrase.
3. Ensure your device’s operating system and Guarda app version are up to date to avoid compatibility issues with newly added blockchain networks.
4. Once authenticated, locate the “+” icon typically positioned at the bottom right corner of the main dashboard screen.
5. Tap or click the “+” button to launch the asset selection menu where all supported cryptocurrencies appear in categorized lists.
Selecting and Enabling a Supported Token
1. Scroll through the alphabetical list or use the search bar to find the desired cryptocurrency — for example, Solana (SOL), Cardano (ADA), or Polkadot (DOT).
2. Tap on the token name to view its network details, balance status, and associated wallet address.
3. If the token is already supported natively, Guarda will generate a unique receiving address automatically upon first selection.
4. For tokens built on secondary layers — such as ERC-20, BEP-20, or SPL tokens — ensure the underlying network (Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, Solana) is already enabled in your wallet settings.
5. Confirm activation by toggling the visibility switch next to the asset; it will appear in your main asset list immediately.
Adding Custom Tokens Manually
1. Navigate to Settings > Manage Assets > Add Custom Token.
2. Enter the contract address, token symbol, decimals, and network identifier — all information must match the official token listing on Etherscan, BscScan, or Solscan.
3. Guarda validates the input against known malicious contract patterns before allowing confirmation.
4. After validation passes, the custom token appears under “Custom Assets” with zero balance until funds are received.
5. Users cannot add tokens from unsupported blockchains — for instance, TON or Aptos tokens require native integration by Guarda’s development team and are not available via manual entry.
Verifying Address Integrity and Network Compatibility
1. Each newly added account displays a unique public address that varies depending on the blockchain’s addressing format — hexadecimal for Ethereum, base58 for Solana, bech32 for Bitcoin.
2. Cross-check the displayed address against an external block explorer by pasting it into the search field of the corresponding chain’s explorer.
3. Guarda does not support multi-signature or hardware wallet-derived addresses for newly added tokens unless imported via mnemonic or private key.
4. Attempting to send assets to an address generated on a different network — for example, sending USDT-ERC20 to a TRC-20 address — results in permanent loss with no recovery path.
5. The wallet interface highlights network mismatches in real time with a red warning banner above the send field when destination and selected token networks do not align.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I add a cryptocurrency that Guarda doesn’t officially list? A: No. Only tokens pre-approved and integrated by Guarda’s security team can be added. Manual contract imports are limited to tokens deployed on already-supported chains.
Q: Why does my newly added SPL token show zero balance even after receiving funds? A: Guarda requires explicit token registration on Solana. You must manually enter the correct mint address and confirm token metadata before balances sync.
Q: Is it possible to delete an added cryptocurrency account from Guarda? A: Yes. Go to Asset Settings > Hide Asset. This removes it from view but retains transaction history and address data within the wallet’s encrypted storage.
Q: Do I need separate backup phrases for each added cryptocurrency? A: No. Guarda uses a single 12-word recovery phrase to restore all accounts and assets across every supported blockchain.
