How to view your transaction history on Coinbase? (Account activity)
To view your Coinbase transaction history, log in, click your profile icon, select “Account activity,” and use filters for asset, type, or date—plus export CSVs or check details like gas fees and staking rewards.
Mar 25, 2026 at 01:00 am
Accessing Your Coinbase Account Activity
1. Log in to your Coinbase account using your registered email and password or two-factor authentication method.
2. Navigate to the top-right corner of the dashboard and click on your profile icon.
3. Select “Account activity” from the dropdown menu to open the full transaction history page.
4. The default view displays all transactions across all wallets and linked accounts, sorted by most recent first.
5. Use the date range selector to filter entries by custom start and end dates, including preset options like “Last 7 days” or “Last 90 days”.
Filtering Transactions by Asset and Type
1. Click the “Filter” button located above the transaction list to reveal filtering options.
2. Choose specific cryptocurrencies such as BTC, ETH, or USDC from the asset dropdown to narrow results to a single digital asset.
3. Select transaction categories including “Buy”, “Sell”, “Send”, “Receive”, “Convert”, or “Staking rewards” to isolate particular actions.
4. Apply multiple filters simultaneously—for example, ETH receives within the last 30 days—to refine visibility further.
5. Clear any active filter with the “Reset filters” link to return to the full unfiltered history.
Understanding Transaction Details
1. Each row in the activity list shows timestamp, asset symbol, type, amount, status, and net value in your primary fiat currency.
2. Click on any entry to expand its details, revealing transaction hash, network confirmation count, fee amount, and destination address for on-chain transfers.
3. For off-chain internal movements—such as transfers between Coinbase wallets—the status will indicate “Completed” without blockchain confirmation data.
4. Failed or pending items display distinct icons and status labels: “Processing”, “Failed”, or “Cancelled”, each with contextual error messages where applicable.
5. Export functionality allows downloading up to 12 months of filtered data as a CSV file via the “Export” button at the top right of the activity table.
Using the Mobile App for On-the-Go History Access
1. Open the official Coinbase mobile application and authenticate using biometrics or PIN.
2. Tap the “Accounts” tab at the bottom navigation bar, then select the desired wallet.
3. Scroll down and tap “Transaction history” to view chronological records for that specific asset.
4. Swipe left or right on individual entries to reveal quick-action buttons such as copy address or share transaction ID.
5. Pull down to refresh the list and ensure newly confirmed transactions appear immediately without manual reload.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why do some transactions show “Internal transfer” instead of a blockchain address?A: These represent movements between your own Coinbase wallets—such as from USD Wallet to BTC Wallet—and never touch external networks.
Q: Can I see gas fees paid for Ethereum-based transactions?A: Yes. When viewing an expanded ETH send or swap entry, the breakdown includes the exact ETH amount used for network gas, labeled separately from the transferred value.
Q: Are staking rewards included in the main activity feed?A: Yes. Staking payouts appear as individual “Staking reward” entries with timestamps matching distribution events, denominated in the staked asset.
Q: What does “Hold” mean next to a transaction status?A: A “Hold” indicates temporary restriction due to compliance review, recent deposit verification, or security policy enforcement—not a failure or cancellation.
