How to Remove Google Authenticator from KuCoin

Google Authenticator is a two-factor authentication (2FA) app that adds an extra layer of security to your KuCoin account. However, if you no longer wish to use Google Authenticator, you can remove it from your account by following these steps:

1. Log into your KuCoin account

Go to the KuCoin website and log into your account using your registered email address and password.

2. Click on "Security Settings"

Once you are logged in, click on your username at the top right corner of the page and select "Security Settings" from the dropdown menu.

3. Navigate to the "Two-Factor Authentication" section

Under the "Security Settings" page, find the "Two-Factor Authentication" section and click on "Google Authenticator."

4. Click on the "Disable" button

You will be prompted to enter your Google Authenticator verification code. After entering the code, click on the "Disable" button.

5. Confirm the removal of Google Authenticator

A confirmation popup will appear asking you to confirm the removal of Google Authenticator. Click on the "Confirm" button to proceed.

6. Your Google Authenticator is now removed

Once you confirm the removal, Google Authenticator will be disabled from your KuCoin account. You can now log in to your account using your email address and password only.

Additional Notes:

  • Please ensure that you have access to your email address and password before removing Google Authenticator.
  • If you lose access to Google Authenticator or your backup codes, you may not be able to recover access to your KuCoin account.
  • It is highly recommended to set up another form of 2FA after removing Google Authenticator.
