How to deposit money into Bybit? A guide to fiat and crypto deposits.
To deposit fiat on Bybit, log in, go to Assets > Deposit > Fiat, choose currency & payment method, enter amount, verify identity if needed, and confirm—bank transfers take 1–3 days, cards are instant.
Dec 25, 2025 at 06:39 am
Fiat Deposit Process
1. Log in to your Bybit account and navigate to the “Assets” section on the top navigation bar.
2. Click “Deposit” and select “Fiat” from the dropdown menu.
3. Choose your preferred currency — USD, EUR, GBP, or others supported in your region.
4. Select a payment method — bank transfer, credit/debit card, or third-party gateways like MoonPay or Ramp Network.
5. Enter the deposit amount and follow the on-screen instructions to complete identity verification if required.
6. Confirm the transaction and wait for processing — bank transfers may take 1–3 business days while card deposits are typically instant.
Cryptocurrency Deposit Procedure
1. Go to “Assets” > “Deposit” and choose “Crypto”.
2. Search for the cryptocurrency you wish to deposit — BTC, ETH, USDT, SOL, or any other supported token.
3. Select the correct blockchain network — for example, USDT can be deposited via TRC-20, ERC-20, or BEP-20; choosing the wrong network may result in permanent loss.
4. Copy the generated wallet address and the corresponding memo/tag if required — some networks like XRP or EOS mandate this field.
5. Initiate the withdrawal from your external wallet or exchange using the exact address and memo.
6. Monitor the transaction status on-chain using a block explorer — deposits usually reflect after the required number of confirmations.
Verification Requirements
1. KYC Level 1 requires full name, date of birth, and government-issued ID photo.
2. KYC Level 2 adds proof of address — utility bill or bank statement issued within the last three months.
3. Without completing at least Level 1, fiat deposits are disabled and crypto withdrawal limits are capped at 2 BTC equivalent per day.
4. Identity documents must be clear, unaltered, and match the registered account details exactly.
5. Failure to verify may trigger automatic suspension of deposit functionality until compliance is restored.
Network Selection Risks
1. Depositing USDT via ERC-20 to a TRC-20-only Bybit address will cause irreversible loss.
2. Solana (SOL) deposits require a valid Solana-compatible address — legacy Ethereum addresses are incompatible.
3. Avalanche C-Chain and X-Chain tokens are not interchangeable on Bybit’s deposit interface.
4. Always double-check the network label displayed next to the deposit address before sending funds.
5. Bybit does not support deposits on testnets — only mainnet transactions are accepted and processed.
Common Questions and Answers
Q: Can I deposit stablecoins like DAI or USDC directly to Bybit?A: Yes, DAI and USDC are supported, but only on specific networks — DAI on Ethereum (ERC-20), USDC on Ethereum and Solana. Other chains like Polygon or Arbitrum are not accepted.
Q: Why is my fiat deposit showing as “pending” for more than 48 hours?A: Delays often occur due to intermediary bank processing, incorrect reference numbers, or mismatched sender names. Contact Bybit Support with the bank confirmation receipt.
Q: Do I need to pay a fee when depositing crypto to Bybit?A: Bybit does not charge deposit fees, but external wallets or blockchains may impose network fees — those are paid to miners/validators, not Bybit.
Q: What happens if I send funds to an expired deposit address?A: Bybit generates new addresses periodically for security. Sending to an old address may result in non-credit. Always use the most recently generated address visible in the deposit interface.
