To use Bybit’s demo trading platform, log in, select “Derivatives,” toggle from “Real” to “Demo,” and trade risk-free with $10,000 virtual USDT—balances persist across sessions.

Accessing the Bybit Demo Trading Platform

1. Navigate to the official Bybit website and log in to your account using valid credentials.

2. Click on the “Trade” tab located in the top navigation bar to enter the trading interface.

3. Select “Derivatives” from the dropdown menu, then choose either “USDT Perpetual” or “Inverse Perpetual”, depending on your preference.

4. In the top-right corner of the trading chart, locate and click the toggle switch labeled “Real” — it will change to “Demo” once activated.

5. A confirmation pop-up may appear; confirm the switch to initiate demo mode with preloaded virtual USDT balance.

Funding and Managing Your Demo Account

1. Upon entering demo mode, the system automatically assigns a default balance of 10,000 USDT to your virtual wallet.

2. If the balance depletes due to simulated losses, click the “Reset Balance” button next to the wallet display to restore the full amount instantly.

3. The demo wallet mirrors real-time market data, order book depth, and price movements without affecting actual funds.

4. All positions opened, closed, or modified in demo mode are isolated from your main account and do not influence live balances or margin usage.

5. You can switch between demo and real modes at any time, but each session retains independent trade history and PnL tracking.

Placing and Managing Demo Orders

1. Use the order entry panel to select order type: Market, Limit, Stop Market, Stop Limit, Take Profit Market, or Trailing Stop.

2. Input quantity, price (for limit-based orders), leverage level, and reduce-only flag as needed — all fields function identically to live trading.

3. After submission, orders appear in the “Open Orders” tab and execute against simulated liquidity matching real exchange behavior.

4. Active positions reflect real-time unrealized PnL, funding rate accruals, and liquidation price calculations based on current index price.

5. Close positions manually via the “Close Position” button or set auto-close triggers using conditional orders within the same interface.

Reviewing Demo Trade History and Analytics

1. Access past activity by clicking the “History” tab beneath the order panel to view executed trades, fills, and cancellations.

2. Each record includes timestamp, symbol, side (Buy/Sell), order type, executed price, quantity, fee, and realized PnL.

3. Export trade logs as CSV by selecting the download icon in the upper-right corner of the history table.

4. The “Positions” tab displays all currently open contracts with entry price, mark price, leverage, maintenance margin, and estimated liquidation level.

5. Chart tools such as drawing objects, indicators (RSI, MACD, Bollinger Bands), and timeframes remain fully functional for technical analysis practice.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I use Bybit Demo Trading without creating a registered account? No. Account registration and email verification are mandatory before accessing demo functionality.

Q: Does demo trading support all contract types available on Bybit? Yes. USDT-margined perpetuals, inverse perpetuals, and futures contracts are accessible in demo mode with identical parameters.

Q: Are API keys generated for demo accounts usable in live environments? No. Demo API keys are restricted to sandbox endpoints and cannot interact with real assets or order routing systems.

Q: Why does my demo balance reset after logging out? It does not reset. Balances persist across sessions unless manually reset using the “Reset Balance” button or browser cache deletion interferes with local storage.
