Accessing Your Ethereum Wallet in TokenPocket
1. Open the TokenPocket application on your mobile device or desktop client.
2. Log in to your existing wallet or create a new one using mnemonic phrase backup.
3. Ensure the wallet network is set to Ethereum Mainnet or the appropriate EVM-compatible chain such as BSC or Polygon, depending on your intended transaction.
4. Tap the “Assets” tab at the bottom navigation bar.
5. Scroll through your asset list and locate ETH; if not visible, tap “+ Add Token” and manually add ETH using its contract address on Ethereum Mainnet: 0xc02aaa39b223fe8d0a0e5c4f27ead9083c756cc2.
Locating Your ETH Deposit Address
1. Within the ETH asset page, tap the “Receive” button.
2. A QR code will appear alongside a 42-character hexadecimal string starting with “0x” — this is your Ethereum deposit address.
3. Verify that the displayed network matches Ethereum Mainnet before sharing the address.
4. Copy the address manually or use the copy icon next to it.
5. Never share your private key or mnemonic phrase when receiving funds — only the public deposit address is required.
Security Checks Before Receiving ETH
1. Confirm the recipient address belongs to your own TokenPocket wallet by cross-checking the first six and last four characters of the address with previously saved records.
2. Avoid scanning QR codes from untrusted sources — always generate the receive QR code inside the app itself.
3. Check whether the wallet has been compromised by reviewing recent transaction history for unauthorized outgoing transfers.
4. Ensure no active phishing links or fake wallet extensions are installed on your device or browser.
5. For large deposits, consider sending a small test transaction first and confirming on-chain receipt via Etherscan before proceeding with full amounts.
Understanding ETH Transaction Finality
1. Ethereum transactions require confirmation by miners or validators; typical finality occurs after five to seven block confirmations.
2. Average block time on Ethereum Mainnet is approximately 12 seconds, meaning initial visibility may occur within one to two minutes.
3. Gas fees influence processing priority — low-fee transactions may remain pending longer during network congestion.
4. Deposits sent from centralized exchanges often include memo fields or tags; TokenPocket does not support memos for native ETH transfers — ensure the exchange allows standard ERC-20–compatible deposits.
5. If ETH does not appear after ten confirmations, verify the transaction hash on https://etherscan.io to confirm successful execution and correct recipient address.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: Can I receive ETH on a TokenPocket wallet address used for BSC?Yes, but only if the address was originally generated on Ethereum Mainnet. Addresses derived from the same mnemonic phrase are compatible across EVM chains, yet deposits must match the network’s native token — ETH only settles on Ethereum Mainnet.
Q2: Why does my ETH balance show zero even though the transaction is confirmed on Etherscan? This usually indicates the wallet is connected to the wrong network. Switch to Ethereum Mainnet in TokenPocket’s network selector and refresh the asset list.
Q3: Is it safe to reuse the same ETH deposit address multiple times?Yes. Ethereum addresses are designed for repeated use. However, avoid publishing them publicly to reduce exposure to targeted attacks.
Q4: What happens if I send ETH to a TokenPocket address on Polygon instead of Ethereum Mainnet? The funds will be irretrievably locked on Polygon unless you have access to the private key and technical capability to bridge them back — which TokenPocket does not automate for cross-chain ETH transfers.
