which bitcoin etf has the most bitcoin
The Purpose Bitcoin ETF (BTCC) boasts the highest Bitcoin exposure among ETFs, holding 100% of its assets directly in the cryptocurrency.
Oct 24, 2024 at 07:43 pm
Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) provide investors with an easy way to gain exposure to the cryptocurrency without having to buy and store it directly. However, not all Bitcoin ETFs are created equal. Some ETFs hold more Bitcoin than others, which can affect their price and liquidity.
1. Purpose Bitcoin ETF (BTCC)The Purpose Bitcoin ETF is the largest Bitcoin ETF in the world, with over $1.6 billion in assets under management. It is also the most traded Bitcoin ETF, with an average daily trading volume of over $100 million. BTCC holds 100% of its assets in Bitcoin, which gives it the highest level of exposure to the cryptocurrency of any ETF.
2. Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (GBTC)The Grayscale Bitcoin Trust is the second largest Bitcoin ETF in the world, with over $1.2 billion in assets under management. However, GBTC is not an ETF in the traditional sense. It is a closed-end fund, which means that it does not issue new shares and its shares are not traded on an exchange. GBTC holds 100% of its assets in Bitcoin, which gives it a similar level of exposure to the cryptocurrency as BTCC.
3. ProShares Bitcoin Strategy ETF (BITO)The ProShares Bitcoin Strategy ETF is the third largest Bitcoin ETF in the world, with over $1 billion in assets under management. BITO is an actively managed ETF, which means that its portfolio manager makes decisions about which Bitcoin futures contracts to hold. BITO holds a mix of Bitcoin futures contracts, which gives it a lower level of exposure to the cryptocurrency than BTCC and GBTC.
4. VanEck Bitcoin Strategy ETF (XBTF)The VanEck Bitcoin Strategy ETF is the fourth largest Bitcoin ETF in the world, with over $500 million in assets under management. XBTF is a passively managed ETF, which means that it tracks the price of Bitcoin futures contracts without making any active decisions about which contracts to hold. XBTF holds a mix of Bitcoin futures contracts, which gives it a similar level of exposure to the cryptocurrency as BITO.
5. Valkyrie Bitcoin Strategy ETF (BTF)The Valkyrie Bitcoin Strategy ETF is the fifth largest Bitcoin ETF in the world, with over $400 million in assets under management. BTF is an actively managed ETF, which means that its portfolio manager makes decisions about which Bitcoin futures contracts to hold. BTF holds a mix of Bitcoin futures contracts, which gives it a lower level of exposure to the cryptocurrency than BTCC and GBTC.
