Layer-2 platform ZKsync (ZK) has seen a massive drop in network activity over the last few months, hitting its lowest point so far this year. The protocol is experiencing a sharp decrease in user demand, evident in the decline of daily active addresses and total value locked (TVL), which has fallen to levels last seen in April 2023.

This decrease in active addresses has resulted in a significant reduction in the number of daily transactions on the ZKsync network. On July 23, the number of completed transactions fell to its lowest level of the year, recording 293,000 transactions.

While other networks have seen an increase in TVL due to the recent market rally, ZKsync has shown a contrasting trend. Currently, the network’s TVL stands at $96 million.
