2025 Proof Set of 10 clad coins reclaims U.S. Mint's top-selling spot

The 2025 Proof Set of 10 clad coins reclaimed the U.S. Mint’s top-selling spot in the week ending May 5, followed by the 2025-W Proof American Silver Eagle.

Meanwhile, the five-coin proof set of 2025 silver quarters saw a decline of 3,474, bringing its total to 24,294 in its first full week. For the Mint, drops like this have become almost routine as new products settle in after release.

U.S. Mint Top Sellers

Here is the roster of the U.S. Mint’s most sought-after numismatic products for the week ending on May 5:

In its latest report, the U.S. Mint published sales data for 549 numismatic products. Of those, 116 outperformed their prior weekly totals, up from 98 in the previous report. Two products saw a week-over-week gain of more than 1,000 units, the same as in the earlier period.

Two U.S. Mint products also recorded sales declines, compared to the prior week.

One of the products to rise substantially over the prior week was the 2025 Proof Set of 10 Clad Coins.

The clad proof set rose by 1,408 to 26,158. The coin set retails for $180. It includes proof versions of the 2025 penny, nickel, dime, quarter, and half dollar, along with five new 2025 American Innovation one-dollar coins in Camp Michigan, Mount Rainer, and Native American programs. The set also includes a proof five-coin set of the 2025 State Quarters.

The second product to see triple-digit gains was the 2025-W Proof American Silver Eagle.

The silver eagle saw gains of 1,087, bringing its total to 19,660. The coin is priced at $84.
