Data collated by CoinMarketCap reveals that BTC lost approximately 4.5% of its value within a matter of hours, abruptly plummeting from $66,700 to $63,500. While the leading cryptocurrency has rebounded slightly at the time of writing, hovering around $64,000, it remains in the negative territory, down 3.8% from the previous day's valuation.

The sudden fall of Bitcoin from the $66,000 threshold has had a ripple effect on the broader crypto market, with over 91,000 traders facing liquidations totaling $208 million, as per data from CoinGlass. Short liquidations amounted to $32.18 million, while long positions accounted for $176 million.

On Wednesday, investors withdrew over $120 million from spot Bitcoin ETFs, interrupting a three-day trend of positive cash inflows. Every ETF, with the exception of Fidelity's FBTC and Ark Invest's ARKB, received zero inflows, resulting in a total inflow of $9.8 million for all funds combined.
