Tecno, a leading mobile technology brand, today announced the launch of its latest Android-based operating system, HiOS 15, in India. The new system boasts a cleaner look, faster performance, and several AI-powered features designed to enhance the user experience.

Highlighting the focus on simplicity, the updated UI boasts 40% fewer pre-installed apps, new animations, faster transitions, and fresh minimal icons. Additionally, app opening times have been reduced by 15%, contributing to the perception of a faster phone.

Further enhancing performance, HiOS 15 introduces MemFusion 3.0 and memory defragmentation for more efficient memory usage. Multitasking capabilities are amplified with Sensory Scheduling 2.0, enabling seamless switching between up to 25 apps. A new “Blank Data” mode can isolate user data from apps, prioritizing privacy.

A unique feature is the wireless mic mode, transforming the phone into a microphone when connected to a speaker, ideal for amplifying voice in large gatherings.

Integrating AI technology, HiOS 15 showcases an advanced suite of tools. Notably, AI Call Assistant can translate, transcribe, and summarize calls in real time, including WhatsApp calls. Complementing this, AI Auto Answer can autonomously pick up calls and generate summaries for scenarios where users are engrossed in tasks.

The operating system also features AI Eraser 2.0 for removing objects from photos, AI Image Extender for expanding images seamlessly, AI Wallpaper Generator for personalized visuals, AI Sharpness Plus for enhancing image clarity, and a tool for blurring sensitive information in screenshots.

Moreover, keeping the Indian market in mind, HiOS 15 is compatible with Indian AI models like Sarvam AI to provide deeper support for local languages. Its virtual assistant, Ella AI, currently supports Hindi and will soon be available in Bengali, Tamil, Gujarati, and Marathi.
