Supra, a Layer-1 blockchain with MultiVM support, has launched its much-anticipated incentivized public testnet. This significant milestone brings Supra closer to its mainnet launch and showcases the network's potential to achieve over 500,000 transactions per second (TPS) with sub-second consensus latency in early tests involving 300 globally distributed nodes.

The current early-stage testnet is designed for internal testing by select partner dApps and builders in a controlled environment. This approach enables Supra to ensure the security and stability of its baseline Layer-1 systems before opening access to the broader public.

To further enhance the testing process, Supra has collaborated with over 160 dApps across multiple ecosystems. These dApps will help "stress-test" the network, and 512,000 verified token holders will gain early access to the testnet, providing valuable feedback to shape the network's future. The team plans to conduct regression testing to intentionally stress the network, ensuring its robustness and preparing it for real-world conditions.

This user feedback will be crucial in ensuring a smooth public launch. Users will access the testnet via Supra's official wallet, StarKey Wallet.

The ultimate goal is to create a diverse MultiVM Layer-1 in Web3, supporting Solana and Cosmos decentralized applications following their Token Generation Event.
