The announcement came after Saylor joined VanEck's X Spaces on Nov. 19. During the appearance, he will ask the board to allocate a portion of their massive cash on hand to BTC.

“The activist that put that proposal together contacted to me to present to the board, and I agreed to provide a three-minute presentation,” Saylor said on X Spaces.

Microsoft is one of the largest tech companies in the world, boasting $78 billion in cash. The company also manages several investments in various companies, such as OpenAI. However, none of their funding reportedly goes to Bitcoin, cryptocurrency or any crypto-related products.

Saylor said that 1.5% of the stock value comes from intangible assets, while the rest of it is leveraged into quarterly earnings. Earlier this October, Microsoft had voting items for December, which would be an assessment time for investing in BTC.
