DeFi protocol focused on liquid staking on Solana, Marinade has launched Instant Unstake feature on May 16th. The update enables immediate withdrawals of SOL, removing related fees and functions without the need for additional smart-contract interaction.

This latest development builds upon an earlier iteration of unstaking that was introduced in March. The previous version allowed for unstaking within approximately 15 minutes, a significant improvement over the seven- to eight-hour timeframe that was common among other protocols.

To use the new feature, users simply need to click the "Unbond" button in the UI and confirm the transaction in their wallet. Once the transaction is mined, the SOL will be unlocked and withdrawable immediately.
