LayerZero (LZ) has officially closed the ZRO token claiming period and announced the redistribution of all unclaimed tokens to wallets that had previously claimed the airdrop.

The unclaimed ZRO tokens will be proportionally distributed among eligible wallets that completed at least one transaction on LayerZero. This decision was made to further align the token distribution with active community members who have utilized the LayerZero technology.

To be eligible for the redistribution, wallets must meet the following criteria:

- Claimed ZRO tokens in the initial airdrop at TGE (March 21, 2023).

The amount of additional ZRO tokens received by each qualified wallet will be directly proportional to their initial airdrop entitlement and the total gas fees paid by that wallet since the TGE.

For example, if a qualified wallet was initially eligible to receive 100 ZRO tokens and paid a total of 0.1 ETH in gas fees, while the total gas fees paid by all qualified wallets amounted to 100 ETH, the qualified wallet will receive an additional 100 * (0.1 / 100) = 10 ZRO tokens.

To claim the redistributed tokens, users are advised to use the same blockchain network as their initial claim. The tokens will be credited to the wallets within 30 days, after which any unclaimed tokens will be transferred to the LayerZero Foundation.

LayerZero is a cross-chain interoperability protocol that facilitates the transfer of assets and data across multiple blockchains. The protocol has been integrated into several prominent blockchain networks, including Ethereum, Avalanche, and Solana.
