The 'new track' of the points world: A tale of persistence and opportunities in the Binance Alpha ecosystem.
As the competition in the cryptocurrency realm becomes increasingly fierce, the Binance Alpha points system resembles a 'points world' where participants strive to outscore one another. Since the rule updates in May 2025, the threshold for $BOOP airdrop has soared to 137 points, with some players already brushing 150 points in just 15 days, achieving an average of 10-12 points, truly embodying the 'King of Competition'.
This points system is not simply a number game; it directly determines whether you can obtain a 'ticket' to the Web3 world—whether participating in token generation events (TGE) or taking advantage of airdrop opportunities, the level of points is the hard truth.
Today, we will delve into the rules of Binance Alpha points and, combined with on-chain data, outline a low-cost, high-efficiency point brushing strategy to help you stand out in this points competition and firmly grasp Web3 dividends.
Chapter One: Breakdown of point rules, know yourself and your enemy.
1.1 What is Binance Alpha points?
Binance Alpha points is a point system specifically designed for assessing user activity, primarily used to measure your participation in the Binance Alpha section and the Binance wallet ecosystem. The level of points directly determines whether you can participate in activities such as token generation events (TGE) or Alpha token airdrops. In simple terms, points are your 'ticket'; the higher your points, the more opportunities you have.
1.2 What is Binance Alpha token?
Binance Alpha tokens refer to a type of special token displayed in the Binance Alpha section. Binance Alpha officially debuted on December 17, 2024, aiming to discover early projects with growth potential in the Web3 ecosystem. These tokens are usually from emerging projects, some of which may have the opportunity to be listed on the Binance spot market in the future, but not all tokens will successfully list; investment should be cautious.
1.3 How are points calculated?
Binance Alpha points consist of two parts: balance points and transaction volume points, with the final score being the average total over the past 15 days. Daily points are recorded based on your asset balance and trading behavior, with snapshots taken in UTC time to ensure fair participation for global users.
Balance points: Based on your total asset balance in the Binance CEX account (main account) and non-custodial wallet, including Alpha tokens and tokens that have been displayed in the Alpha section and are now listed on the spot market. The balance of sub-accounts will be consolidated into the main account for calculation, and points cannot be brushed by dispersing funds.
Transaction volume points: Based on the total amount spent on purchasing Alpha tokens in the Binance Alpha platform and non-custodial wallet (only counting purchases, sales are not included). Transaction volume points only consider purchase amounts, unaffected by subsequent sales. For example, if you buy tokens worth 600 USD and then sell 500 USD, the points are still calculated based on the 600 USD. The token value is calculated at the market price equivalent in USD at the time of the transaction to ensure fairness in points.
Even more enticing is the double points event starting May 1. If you purchase Alpha tokens through the Binance Smart Chain (BSC) or use limit orders to buy any Alpha tokens, the trading volume will be calculated as double. For example, a 10 USD BSC trade will be counted as 20 USD, directly earning you 10 points. This 'buy one get one' benefit is simply a boon for point-brushing players.
To better understand the point calculation rules, we have organized the following table to show the specific calculation methods for balance points and transaction volume points:
| Point Type | Calculation Method | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Balance Points | Snapshot of total asset balance in the main account and non-custodial wallet at 00:00 UTC+0 every day. Only includes Alpha tokens displayed in the Alpha section and tokens listed on the spot market. Sub-account balances are consolidated into the main account. | Suppose you have 1000 USD worth of ETH in your main account, 500 USD worth of BTC in your non-custodial wallet, and 3 Alpha tokens valued at 1000 USD each. The total balance points are 1000+500+3000=4500, and the daily average balance points are the sum of the past 15 days' points divided by 15. |
| Transaction Volume Points | Sum of the total amount spent on purchasing Alpha tokens in the Binance Alpha platform and non-custodial wallet over the past 15 days. Only purchase amounts are counted, not sales. The token value is calculated
