Hamster Kombat, a TON-based crypto-collectible game, has encountered some challenges recently, including a delay in its highly anticipated HMSTR token airdrop. The game's rapid user growth has also led to some technical difficulties. However, Hamster Kombat's community remains engaged as the platform continues to add new features and expand its user base.

The game's community has experienced fluctuating levels of interest and engagement, according to Hamster Girl, the community manager for Hamster Kombat. In a recent discussion on 'The Crypto Beat' podcast, Hamster Girl explained that the game initially attracted a massive wave of attention, largely driven by the hype surrounding the upcoming airdrop.

Over time, however, the excitement naturally waned, leading to a more stable but less frenzied level of community involvement. The game's developers acknowledged this cooling down, attributing it to the typical lifecycle of online games, where initial excitement eventually tapers off. Nonetheless, the community remains active, engaging in discussions and gameplay.

Interestingly, the developers also noted that the game has experienced substantial bot activity, which they are addressing through increased moderation efforts. This challenge is not unique to Hamster Kombat but is a common issue in online gaming, especially when rewards like airdrops are at stake.

To maintain the integrity of the upcoming airdrop, Hamster Girl said that the team is focusing on weeding out bots and ensuring that real players receive the rewards.

The developers also highlighted the game's growth, which has far exceeded their expectations and necessitated new technical solutions in collaboration with the TON core team. These updates underscore the developers' efforts to navigate the complexities of a large-scale airdrop while maintaining community engagement.

Following the arrest of Pavel Durov, Hamster Kombat and other prominent TON projects have voiced their support for the Telegram founder. In response, the game's developers introduced 'Crypty,' a new skin that emphasizes privacy and anonymity, aligning with Durov's values.

Moreover, other TON projects have also shown their support for Durov. Hamster Kombat's focus on privacy resonates with its community, especially in light of the controversies surrounding Telegram's moderation policies. By integrating these protest elements into the game, Hamster Girl said that the game could capitalize on the uproar over Durov's arrest and also enhance its user base.

The community's reaction and the game's ongoing developments highlight the deep interconnection between the platform and the broader TON ecosystem.
