Grayscale is expanding its footprint in the digital asset market with the launch of a new trust. As announced on Tuesday, the asset manager and ETF issuer has unveiled the launch of the Grayscale MakerDAO Trust. This latest addition to Grayscale’s product suite provides investors with an opportunity to gain exposure to MKR, the utility and governance token underpinning the Ethereum-based MakerDAO ecosystem.

Through the Grayscale MakerDAO Trust, investors can now participate in the growth and development of the MakerDAO protocol, which operates an autonomous organization and decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol. MakerDAO is known for its decentralized stablecoin system and various on-chain financial services.

According to the announcement, the trust is now open for daily subscription by eligible individual and institutional accredited investors. The trust's fund is solely invested in MKR tokens.

This announcement follows Grayscale’s recent launches of the Grayscale Bittensor Trust, which is dedicated to the TAO token that supports the Bittensor Protocol, and the Grayscale Sui Trust, which focuses on the SUI token that underpins the Sui Layer 1 blockchain.
