Eric Cristobal, a well-known figure in the early Philippine crypto community, passed away on December 2, 2024. His family confirmed the news and announced that his wake will begin on December 3, at St. Peter Memorial Chapels and Crematory, By-pass Rd, Sta. Clara, Sta. Maria, Bulacan.

Cristobal was known for his early contributions to the local blockchain industry, including his role as Ecosystem Growth Lead at cLabs (Celo) from 2020 to 2022. In this capacity, he worked on community engagement and marketing initiatives to support Celo’s early financial inclusion missions in the Philippines.
