Toronto digital asset company DeFi Technologies has announced that it will launch a validator node on Core Chain, an advanced blockchain powered by Bitcoin, to participate in staking and network consensus.

The move is part of a collaboration with Core Foundation to explore opportunities within the blockchain industry. As part of this initiative, DeFi Technologies, through its subsidiary Valour Inc., will stake around $100 million in Bitcoin (BTC) on Core Chain.

Through this mechanism, participants in the staking process will receive rewards in Core tokens (CORE), which will be reinserted to further enhance the product.
