Crypto leaders are testing out a new platform called makenow.meme, which allows users to create meme coins directly from X (formerly Twitter) posts.

The process is simple: users tweet a $ sign followed by the ticker name, describe the coin, tag @makenowmeme, and attach any relevant media.

For instance, Alex Svanevik, the CEO of crypto analytics firm Nansen, launched a meme coin called IQ, which quickly garnered a lot of attention—despite Svanevik’s cautionary remark.

Makenow.meme faced operational challenges when X imposed rate limits and temporarily suspended its account, leading to a pause in the tweet-to-mint function.
