Crypto exchange Coinbase has integrated ZetaChain mainnet as a default network within the Coinbase ecosystem. The integration will enable institutional custody of ZETA coin, the native coin of ZetaChain.

Coinbase and ZetaChain users will be able to trade ZETA on different exchanges through Coinbase Prime as a single access point. The feature will also provide anonymity to institutional investors, preventing markets from being able to decipher the transactions.

Coinbase will also become a validator on the ZetaChain mainnet, earning ZETA rewards and helping to validate new blocks on the chain. The exchange will also offer staking services for ZetaChain users, allowing them to delegate their staked ZETA to Coinbase to earn validator rewards.

According to Coinbase, the lack of communication between layer 1 blockchains has prevented mainstream adoption of crypto and blockchain technology. The exchange believes that ZetaChain can provide the connectivity that is needed between chains.
