While the sum is relatively small compared to other crypto attacks, it has raised questions about the attacker's motives.

According to Cyvers, the attacker received funding through TornadoCash and performed transactions with the Binance exchange. This indication suggests that the attacker might be an ethical or "white hat" hacker who is scanning the BNB Chain for vulnerabilities to report them to the blockchain's team.
